According to the Charity Commission, charities have lost £3.6 million to fraud and cybercrime since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

This figure could, however, be much higher due to fraud often been underreported. The research carried out by the Charity Commission found that 73% of charities affected by fraud go on to change their procedures or enhance internal controls to avoid future fraud and that two thirds are picked up by financial controls. On the course you will learn how to recognise online security threats and explore the steps you can take to minimise your risk and find out about malware, trojan virus, network security, cryptography, identity theft and risk management. The course is GCHQ Certified Training and IISP accredited.
